Therapy for College Students

College is more than just classes. It’s about thriving both inside and outside the classroom.

Did high school prepare you for college?

Are you navigating college life from afar and feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or just in need of someone who understands? You're not alone—and you deserve support that fits your busy life.

You may be surprised when college is nothing as you expected.

College introduces a whirlwind of emotions—academic stress, social pressure, identity exploration, and separation from home. Combined with remote learning, it can feel isolating or overwhelming. I created this space to offer virtual support tailored specifically to college students experiencing life transitions, anxiety, self-doubt, or relationship struggles. I offer virtual therapy sessions for college students located in all of California.

Now, did high school really prepare you for college?

You may have been told that high school prepared you for what comes next. But once you’re in college, you realize the reality feels very different. The academic workload is heavier and the pace can feel relentless. You’re expected to manage independence and responsibilities you’ve never had before. Socially and emotionally, you may feel unprepared for the stress, pressure, or even loneliness that college brings.

If you’ve asked yourself “Why wasn’t I ready for this?”—you’re not alone. The truth is, no one is fully prepared for the shift from high school to college. And that’s okay. Therapy can help you bridge the gap, strengthen your coping skills, and feel more grounded as you navigate this new chapter.

Handling transitions and Loneliness

Moving to a new city, adjusting to campus culture, or shifting between home and school life can feel isolating. The shift of college often means leaving your support system behind. Even with roommates or classmates nearby, loneliness is a common experience. Together, we can normalize the feelings of isolation and explore what makes transitions difficult. It’s not easy to be away from your family and childhood bedroom, you will be able to process homesickness and the challenges of independence. Lastly, you will strengthen your resilience so that change feels like growth, not just stress.
